cstrader.gg ("we", "us", "our") is a website that allows users to discover Counter-Strike 2 inventories and initiate trades via Steam's official trading system. This policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and the rights users have.

Access without an account

  • Visitors can browse inventories and view publicly available item data without creating an account or signing in.
  • No personal data is required to browse the site.

Account creation and authentication

  • Users may sign in using Steam OpenID authentication.
  • Authentication is handled entirely by Steam. We do not collect or store Steam passwords.
  • Steam provides us with limited public profile information and a unique Steam ID used to identify the account.

Data we collect

When a user signs in with Steam, we may collect and store:

  • Steam ID
  • Display name
  • Public profile URL
  • Avatar images
  • Public Steam profile metadata returned by the Steam Web API
  • Steam trade offer URL (provided voluntarily by the user)
  • Account activity timestamps (creation, login, updates)
  • Site-specific interaction data (e.g. reputation, comments, votes)

We do not collect email addresses, passwords, payment information, or private Steam data.

Inventory data

We use the Steam Web API to retrieve publicly available Counter-Strike 2 inventory data associated with a Steam account.

Inventory data is:

  • Retrieved directly from Steam
  • Displayed on cstrader.gg for browsing
  • Used to allow users to discover trading opportunities

All trades occur entirely on Steam.

cstrader.gg does not process, intermediate, or complete trades.

Trade links

Users may voluntarily provide their Steam trade offer URL.

Trade links are:

  • Stored to enable other users to initiate trades
  • Displayed publicly when inventory visibility is enabled

We do not intercept, modify, or monitor trade offers.

Public visibility controls

Users can control whether their inventory and trade link are publicly visible.

Users may:

  • Make inventories public or private
  • Update or remove their trade link
  • Request account deletion

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate site usage.

Vercel Analytics:

  • Does not use advertising cookies
  • Does not profile users
  • Provides anonymised usage data

CSHub is a browser extension that displays publicly available Counter-Strike 2 inventories and provides links to initiate trades on Steam's official website. This policy explains how the extension handles data.

Purpose of the extension

The CSHub extension allows users to:

  • View Counter-Strike 2 skins owned by other users
  • Access Steam trade offer links to initiate trades on Steam

The extension does not process or complete trades.

All trades occur entirely on Steam's official website.

User input

When first using the extension, users may voluntarily provide their Steam trade offer URL.

The trade link is used only to:

  • Associate the user with trade discovery features
  • Allow other users to send trade offers via Steam

Data the extension accesses

The extension may access or process:

  • Steam trade offer URL provided by the user
  • Public inventory data retrieved from cstrader.gg APIs
  • Public Counter-Strike 2 item information
